Parkland Dallas Residency Spring 2019

Updated:   Published

Hi, I am starting this thread because I do not see any other threads for the Parkland Dallas Spring 2019 Nurse Residency.

Specializes in Critical Care; Cardiac; Professional Development.

I was told today the only way someone with less than a BSN will get an interview at Parkland now is via direct recommendation from a current employee in good standing. Worth knowing if you are an ASN nurse, as historically Parkland has been an ASN friendly employer. However, they recently received Pathways to Excellence and have their eye on Magnet. This requires a minimum of 80% BSN work force.

Does anyone have insight into how many interviews vs. open positions for the ED?

Has anyone heard back with offers for ED?

I have not yet! I interviewed on the 1st.

I did too. Waiting is not my strong point. Did they tell you two weeks?

Yes, they said about two weeks!

I was offered an interview for the ED and then they said they had less ED spots than expected so they retracted my interview offer. I am not sure how many spots there exactly are though

I got declined today. Good luck to everyone else!

I actually just spoke with V******* B*****. She said that they had 15 open ER positions and all candidates were notified last week about offers. All candidates have accepted except for one who declined. She does not know if they will offer that remaining spot to another candidate or if they will just have 14 total.

Does anyone know what to type in the search bar of careers for the new grad residency program? I have been searching and can't seem to find any info on Parkland's website. TIA!

If you type in "nurse residency" then positions should come up. THere arent any open right now. I am not sure if they plan to open anymore

I look on Parklands website almost every day, I'm looking for the ED residency application. Anyone have any idea when they usually start posting for this job?
