I scheduled mine for July 30 but I didn't ask how many would be hired. Is this basically a mess surg floor? I forgot to ask that as well.. oops
I asked them today, they only hire 1 person for the position. in inpatient rehab, you will take care of patients who recently have stroke or accident.

Oh goodness. I called today as well but whoever I spoke with said she inpatient was for patients after surgeries. It could be all three but the person I spoke to seemed unsure..
yes, it could be all three. Patient who have impaired physical mobility due to stroke, car accident or hip replacement ( after surgeries) would stay in inpatient rehab. That's what i know about the unit.
Oh I see what you mean, thank you. I hope your interview went well!

You are so lucky! Good luck on your interview. Do you have a BSN? Im wondering if thats what I need to get a call back from Parkland after like so many applications I've put in. Thanks
Yes I graduate with my BSN in 10 days! I've seen other threads where people who didn't have BSN have gotten interviewed! You still may!

Parkland just obtained Pathway to Excellence and are now on their journey to Magnet status. This means they will have a greater focus going forward on having an 80% BSN workforce, so those with ASN may find themselves at a disadvantage and if hired will likely be required to obtain BSN within a few years.
