I happened to notice this advertisement on the AllNurses top of page for the a Parish Nursing Book. Here is the direct link:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0761911839/103-6126145-2225454
Interestingly, as is Amazons usual format, there are other books referenced about Parish Nursing. Does anyone have any favorite books or references to recomend for this topic?

Stanhope, M. & Lancaster, J. (2000). Community & Public Health Nursing. Mosby: St. Louis, MO.
This book has a chapter about Parish Nursing that is informative. It's an expensive book to buy for just one chapter, but other chapters are applicable to all areas of community/public health.

Where are you in Colorado? Do you do Parish Nursing?
B.
B,
I'm in Colorado Springs. I'm currently a private boarding school nurse. I'm working on my MSN with a community health CNS focus(17 credit hours to go). I have been working with a local church to help them with grant funding to replace their Parish Nurse who has moved. She was a powerhouse asset to this congregation and will be hard to replace.

My favorite parish nursing text is Parish Nursing: Promoting Whole Person Health Within Faith Communities by Phyllis Ann Solari-Twaddle and Mary Ann McDermott. It covers most of the aspects of parish nursing. I also use my binder from my PN training quite a bit.
Keep the Faith,
