Yes! I work in a hospital setting and this is 2016! We are still charting on paper and it SUCKS! So inefficient and I feel it interferes with time that can better be spent with the patient! 8-10 pages of ********. No kidding. Sorry for the profanity- thought this was Reddit. OK I'm done now.

I feel your pain! We have this weird hybrid system where we document our head to toe in the computer but everything else on paper

I do home nursing (private duty/Peds), and it's all paper charting. I, too, could do so much more if I didn't have to write so much!

I do private duty home care, too. My agency went to computer charting about 3 years ago. All of our assessments are done in the computer but we still paper chart meds, treatments, feedings, & vent checks. It would be much easier to do everything one way or the other instead of some paper & some computer.
