I am in the Kentucky board of nursing recovery program. I've been in it 2 years now. I have passed all my drops 100%. I got an abnormal result on 9/29. I emailed my case Manager and explained that I've had severe stomach problems and have been dehydrated so she explained that it probably affected the chemistry of my urine so im not in trouble. I am dropping today for a panel I've never seen before
Panel O-792441 through lab corp. I can't find anywhere of what that test is. Anyone know??
Sigh...This entire thread is one more example of the "guilty until proven innocent" mindset with this stuff, Secondary to that mindset is "we'll get to it whenever we feel like it because we don't give a **** that you might be coming apart at the seams over something that ultimately turns out to be nothing." Even better is the response I've gotten when dealing with the BON on this..."oops, our bad." Yes somebody with them said that.?????
I see so much devoted to advice on how to get through a pee test (not the illegal junk that people who are trying to hide something do). Don't drink caffeine, do drink/eat protein, don't drink too much water, don't go work out, you get the idea. I just hate the way all of this has slithered it's tentacles into nearly every part of my life. I never even had an issue with alcohol, can barely even gag it down, but now? No kiddush for me. It's not so much that I am particularly active in my religion as that the high holy days have just passed and I had to curtail my participation because of this junk. That just seems wrong in so many ways.
Just saying.....
The following info is from Florida IPN program. Make sure to follow only guidelines given to you by each state program
Urine samples are called Abnormal if the creatinine is less than 20mg/dl and Dilute if, in addition to thelow creatinine, the specific gravity is 1.0010. Both abnormal and dilute screens are ofsignificance.
These numbers are somewhat arbitrary but were chosen because most subjects mustconsume significant amounts of water to produce a specimen with a creatinine lower than 20 mg/dl. Ithas been noted that small muscle mass, being female, and exercise (when followed by increased waterconsumption) have been associated with lower urine creatinine levels.
Urine dilution is of interest onlybecause consuming large amounts of water in order to dilute urine with hopes of having negative urineis a common method to avoid detection. Dilution is also the method by which most of the OTC urinecleaners work.
The problem with assuming that dilute urine is always due to attempted cheating is thatmany individuals drink large amounts of water for health reasons or simply to be prepared†to providea urine sample.
Since dilute urines can be used to mask using, it is imperative to follow up on them. As a participantproviding a urine sample, you can follow some simple guidelines to avoid providing dilute urine. Theseare:
Affinity computer system is used in at least 5 different states. Each state has a-h panels. Different numbers to follow.
For example Florida used to have a and b panels. Now it's c panels as of 7/15
a was drugs and b was Etg . Now they combined them to c (which is drugs&etg)
O-panels usually are usually special drugs and PEth. Not the normal substance they are looking for.
They keep changing testing and requirements.

Many of us have had direct experience with what you are going through, and we understand the fear. That's why the documentation from your doctor is so important. Get that note. When you talk with the MRO, just tell them what happened, that you were sick, and can document that.
Feel and work through that fear, but do what you need to do anyways. You didn't do anything wrong and were sick. It happens, the program people know this. That's why they have MRO.
