Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi everyone!

I am applying to the ADN programs at Palomar and Mira Costa for Fall 2021. I wanted to make this for other students who are also applying! Share any info you'd like.

Do you know when they send out first notifications?

I think Palomar's website says April

The Palomar Nursing Application is not letting me submit my application without submitting my college degree however I do not have a college degree; I just completed prerequisites. There is no option for "No Degree" under the college tab. If I filled in "associates" that would be false because I do not have an associate's degree. What should I do?

uhhhh IDK I would email them they respond quickly

I think you need to submit proof of high school graduation.

Also how did you all attach the "application checklist"?

Where does it say we need to attach an application check list I don’t see

I can't find it either. Maybe they aren't requiring us to turn in the application checklist because things changed due to covid?

Never mind I just found it. When you click on the application checklist, it says that the form must accompany our application packet. I don’t think they have updated it because 1 we aren’t turning in a packet and 2 there was no option for us to attach it on our application so hopefully that we are fine

Yeah I submitted my application without the checklist. My application actually decided to submit on its own before I could "sign" it.. ?

I think it will be okay. This is their first time trying the process online so hopefully they won’t be strict on small details. I’m so nervous to hear back

Yeah I hope so.. that would be a crappy reason to get disqualified. Well, we probably won't hear back too soon! ? We will have to hang tight but I am also nervous.

Yeah in the nursing info session they seemed pretty understanding. Hopefully we find out April. I hope the point estimate on the application is correct as well
