Palomar Health nurse residency fall 2019

Published

Hi everyone! Haven’t seen a thread yet for the Palomar Health nurse residency for this fall/August 2019 cohort so just wanted to start one! Just thought we could inform each other on what we hear and such!

I hope we hear something soon! It’s been quite awhile and I’m starting to get a

little nervous. ?

According to the Fall 2018 allnurses, they sent out the interview invitations June 15th. Maybe we'll hear something tomorrow? ?

Anyone get any callbacks or emails? I haven't heard anything.

Nope ... ?‍♀️

Hi there! Has anyone heard anything from HR this week? I'm curious if external candidates already know about interviews...I saw in the thread that some internal candidates have already been notified! My applications are still "under review." Thank you!!

Mine says the same and no news. As with every hospital internal candidates are called and interviewed first and what is left will be for external. I just don’t understands why it takes so long to get any notification. ?all this is very stressful.

Hi, I'd like to join in on this thread so I can follow along with everyone's updates ?

Looks like if you haven't taken the UCSD maternal nursing course you won't be eligible for the L&D position. I was bummed when I heard this; I wish they would have made it more clear on the position listing. The woman I talked to apologized and agreed, and said that it is usually listed on the L&D job postings for experienced nurses. She says if L&D is your end goal and you plan to work for Palomar Hospital, to take the course when you can as it will always be required.

I asked her if she was also the same person reviewing all the applications for the other departments. She said indeed she was and we should be hearing back towards the end of June.

I'm an external candidate, and applied to L&D, Escondido's ED, and the S/TICU. My statuses have been under review for a few weeks. Hopefully we hear back soon!
