Hello Everyone!

Starting a thread for those applying to the Palomar Health New Grad Nurse Residency that begins October 2024.

Applications are currently open (July 2024)

Does anyone have information on the requirements listed.  (For example, ACLS is required for some units, do we need to have that at time of application or by the start date?)

Has anyone heard from the trauma surgical step down unit

My application still says "new" as the status, which should mean its been received and nothing else.

Hey guys! I submitted my app to one of the units and it has says "in process" for about 2 weeks now, but the rest still say new. Does anyone know if that means they are looking at it? Or does that mean that there are positions still available for the unit? Thank you!

From the Jobvite FAQ:

"What does my "job application status" mean in Jobvite?
New: Application received.
In Process: The company is reviewing the application.
Not Selected: The company has not selected the applicant for the position.
Hired: The candidate has been selected for the position.
Closed: The job has been closed. No further information is available."

I don't know if Palomar uses these statuses exactly as described here. For example, I had one application go from closed to not selected yesterday, so I guess closed means selections have been made but not made public? Hope you get the spot!

Specializes in ED.

Has anyone heard back for the ICU?

Okay, thank you so much.  One of mine also went from closed to not selected for the ED.

Has anyone received a job offer for any of the units at Palomar? I interviewed with 9E & 7W but haven't heard anything after the interview.

When was your interview? For my interview the hiring manager said to email her personally if I didn't hear anything back within 2 weeks. Although from the vibe I was getting, this would be most likely only to confirm a rejection; not that it would take 2 weeks for an offer email to be sent, but who knows? This Wednesday will be 2 weeks for me. My hiring manager also said that she doesn't have the time to send out individual rejection letters because of the volume of applicants, and also that HR, not the hiring managers, sends out the offer emails.

Hey Guys,

I had an interview July 31st. Was told that an offer from HR could come any time after today, the 5th. Just joining the thread to keep up on what other people have heard for their units.

Hey, can I ask what you brought to your interview? I just scheduled mine!
