  1. Has anybody received any offers from Poway Med-Surg yet?
  2. I can second this. I just received an offer for an interview today, for a unit that I applied to almost 2 months ago. A little annoying to be honest.
  3. I applied, had an interview, and officially heard back from the hiring manager today that I was not selected :(.
  4. My interview was online via Microsoft Teams; the hiring manager insinuated that this was because of the sheer volume of applicants and interviews she had to conduct. If yours is in person, then definitely try to make a portfolio. I know Palomar has that section online about bringing a headshot and two letters of rec. Might as well do that too; always better to be overprepared than underprepared.
  5. When was your interview? For my interview the hiring manager said to email her personally if I didn't hear anything back within 2 weeks. Although from the vibe I was getting, this would be most likely only to confirm a rejection; not that it would take 2 weeks for an offer email to be sent, but who knows? This Wednesday will be 2 weeks for me. My hiring manager also said that she doesn't have the time to send out individual rejection letters because of the volume of applicants, and also that HR, not the hiring managers, sends out the offer emails.
  6. From the Jobvite FAQ: "What does my "job application status" mean in Jobvite? New: Application received. In Process: The company is reviewing the application. Not Selected: The company has not selected the applicant for the position. Hired: The candidate has been selected for the position. Closed: The job has been closed. No further information is available." I don't know if Palomar uses these statuses exactly as described here. For example, I had one application go from closed to not selected yesterday, so I guess closed means selections have been made but not made public? Hope you get the spot!
  7. My application still says "new" as the status, which should mean its been received and nothing else.
  8. Nope, external. Never had a clinical at Palomar or anything.
  9. I'm sure every hiring manager has a different set of questions. For me, I essentially had no clinical scenarios; I had mainly behavior and character stuff. "Give me three words that describe you" "How and why did you get into healthcare" "Why Palomar" "What would be the hardest thing about your first year, and what would you be the best at?" Stuff like that.
  10. It was for the Escondido Neuro Acute unit. I just checked the Jobvite pages and apparently one of the Neuro Acute positions (Day or Night) is now "closed" while the other is "New". Pretty sure closed = filled. We will see.
  11. Hey Guys, I had an interview July 31st. Was told that an offer from HR could come any time after today, the 5th. Just joining the thread to keep up on what other people have heard for their units.
