Palomar College - 2025 Fall Nursing Application

Published

Just wanted to make a thread for fellow applicants at Palomar College Nursing Program for the Fall 2025 semester. I applied, it's my first time applying. I think if they count all my points I will be at 89 points. I applied at Mira Costa as well, but as many of you know, the lottery system is a complete gamble.

So far, I have received an email that my application had been accepted and the email specified that they hope to be issuing decisions by mid-April to may.

Good luck to you all.

I wonder if they will send all acceptances today, I know from previous threads there are usually a lot of standbys. if anyone gets waitlisted please let me know

That's awesome, congratulations!! Was it for Mira costa or Palomar?

Does anyone know if the school ever tells you how many points you earned?

They will if you ask.

Has anyone gotten an email today? I haven't received anything. I'm afraid I'm be one of the last since my last name starts with R and I also sent my application at last minute like the day before or the day is was due 😞 because I took my TEAS late.

I haven't received anything today. Checking this thread religiously all day

Hi Everyone,

Not an application question but did anyone do tutoring for the TEAS they can recommend? Since this is my second year trying to get into a program, if I don't get in this application round I'm going to try for a private school. I will need to increase my TEAS grade to do so and I am struggling.

Hi there. I took the TEAS only once a year after I finished my pre reqs, so I was definitely a little rusty. What  I used was NurseHub and it was SOO helpful. Step by step on all subjects, it's a monthly subscription but I think you get the first month free. Aside from that, I would attend their zoom sessions. I also got help from this one tik toker named FutureRN and she holds tik tok lives throughout the week for different subjects. I got a 78 on the TEAS, which is not amazing but proud of myself since I was so rusty on my math and science.

The mometrix videos were free and they helped. I bought the ATI practice tests also. If I had started studying more than a few days before I would've probably gotten a better score. Best advice would be study early LOL.

I studied a lot. I used the smart edition program. I went through almost the entire thing. My practice tests were great on both the smart edition and the ATI app. When I took the test I struggled in science which is my best subject. I fealt like I had never seen the material they were asking on the test. I think I need an in person Tutor.

I also do well in science courses and struggled on the TEAS in that department. I was so disappointed. All of my other subjects I did well.

Well at least I'm not alone on this. I feel like I'm missing something. I am also disappointed. It's been tough not being able to get in anywhere.
