As you all know, the application will be opening up soon for admission into Palm Beach State, and I wanted to get this forum going to help guide us. There are things in question like how many points were admitted for the previous term, and whether Belle Glade or Lake Worth is a better option for an individuals need. I just wanted to open this up so that we may discuss our common concerns so that we can move forward step by step. I did take the HESI and scored a 83 on my first try and am currently contemplating whether I should retake it or apply as is. Nonetheless, I just wanted us all to come here and discuss anything of concern :)
HI there, I hope you do well in your journey toward earning your nursing degree. This maybe late for OP but I am putting this here so hopefully it may help someone. I have one piece of advice, as a current PBSC nursing student, that is to search out all of your possible options. Knowing what I know now I would not have chosen the program at PBSC. I have been attending PBSC for many years and have been quite happy there so I had no reservations about entering their nursing program. However, I can tell you their nursing program leaves a lot to be desired. It won't matter whether you attend Lake Worth or Belle Glade. I can't really compare this program to another as this is the only one I have experienced. If I could transfer I would in a hot second, unfortunately this is not a program that your can just transfer. You can believe though I will NOT give them my money for my bachelor's.

Why do you say this, is their any specific incidents that you can tell us about?

honestly, this is really unprofessional of pbsc. if they are understaffed, then get more staff. if they are very behind, then we shouldn't have to call to get information. They should send a college wide email to everyone just so we know what is going on. Also, today is the Withdraw deadline, if someone is taking Nur1141 during this term then it would be helpful to know if the person got into the program or not so that they can either stay in nur1141 or withdraw from the class! And if you don't get into the program, it would help to have found out a week ago so that people can move on and register for classes for fall term!
