i was wondering prior to applying to the bsn program, were you already a plu student or a transfer student? do you know if plu nursing has a preference in selecting their students? also, if you don't mind sharing, what was your pre-reqs grade point average?

did you receive notifications in late april or early april?

i have been told "in april," and "late april." it would just be nice to know in advance.

wanurse123, i was sort of a transfer student - i had a prior bs degree and just finished up all my pre-req's at a community college. honestly can't remember my gpa as it was about a 3.6 for my bs degree, and then my pre-req's were mostly high b's if i remember correctly...

i do know that plu weighs very heavily on the essays that you write - they want to see that you can write in proper english, convey your ideas in a logical manner, and not sound like a retard! lol!

i really don't think plu gives preference to current students - that wouldn't be fair to all the other non-plu applicants.

if i remember correctly, i got my acceptance letter on the same day i had my 2nd date with my now-husband. he,he. (ah, how time flies... 3 years flew by!) - so i believe it was probably mid-april - and believe me, i was giddy!!!! but i do remember running down to the mailbox every day waiting for a letter to come - and finally it did. so hang in there - it's tough to wait!

have you applied to any other schools?? i applied at seattle university, but i didn't have all my pre-reqs done in time for when they made their selection... oh well - i love love love plu - and while i am very excited to graduate in about 8 weeks (yay!), i will miss the school environment and the faculty - it's been a blast!

:yeah:I just wanted to stop by to say that I have been accepted for Fall 08 BSN Program. I am so excited to be finally starting the program. I also have a friend that got in too. Did any one else get into the Basic BSN program? I can't wait!

I found out on april 1st. The director called me and told me I was offered admission and that I would be getting the paperwork in the mail. I got a regular envelope with quite a few papers in it, it was thick. I got the paper work about a week ago. I'm surprised you have not heard yet. Keep me updated. Good luck.

WOW.. thats a little depressing for me, I havent heard a thing from PLU!

Do you know they have already notified all of their admits by now?

A.M., did send an email about giving her updated transcripts, which did not apply to me, considering all of my pre-reqs were completed by the deadline.

If you don't mind sharing, what was your gpa?

Well.... I dont know exactly if everyone got calls, but my friend did also. But I bet there's still hope. You never know about waitlists too.

Hi! I also applied and have not heard anything YET! I'm still clinging on to hope that it's on the way. I got a personal phone call from the admissions director, but not from the school of nursing. That was a few months ago. I'm eagerly awaiting the decision.....just pray.....that's all we can do! Good luck!!!!

Hello to all. I'm about to graduate from PLU and the Dean of the nursing school teaches one of my classes - so I asked him if all the decision letters have been sent - He said that only about 25% of them have been sent and that there are still more apps to go through... So all you PLU apps posting on here, don't lose hope - not all the letters have been sent! :)

Good luck - I remember waiting and it was brutal - so I feel your pain! LOL!
