Anyone applying for the Fall 2014 and/or Spring 2015 PLU BSN program? I'm putting my finishing touches on my application this week, and I'm very nervous. Love to exchange advice, encouragement, anxiety, and profiles with other applicants. :)
I will be completing my DTA in Spring at Tacoma Community College and currently have a 3.9 cumulative GPA and 4.0 in prereqs. Unfortunately, I do have a messy past from my first time attending a different college that is definitely coming back to haunt me at this point. Sigh. A family friend tried to ease my concerns by saying that PLU takes a holistic approach in considering applicants and they are most interested in the student you are now. *fingerscrossed* *deepbreaths*
Do they send out all the immediate declines right away? I've been checking my mail hoping that I'm still in the consideration pile. No mail = no decline, right?
I got the mass email too, but I had already mailed off my updated grades before that email.
I'm not sure whether they send out declines immediately or not. I just hope that they wouldn't send it out like in June. That would be cruel to wait all that time to find out you didn't get in =/.
I've been following the comments about the email on winter quarter grades and how we might think its a good signs they are still interested. Would anyone like to share what day they received the email? I got mine on April 7th, though I didn't have an grades to send in because I finished my DTA in Fall. Im really curious if this was a mass email sent to all student onthe same day or not. It seems strange they sent some denials out before sending this email, perhaps a good sign for some of us?
The wait is killing me. I was doing good being patient but I feel like so many people are getting news but me. Anyone else got anything lately? I just keep hoping no news still means there is hope.
Yes...I'm hoping that it was because I applied late and, had prerequisites that weren't completed till last August...but who knows...i want to be DNP and have to have BSN...I'm remaining optimistic but also preparing for worse case senerio...about all any of us who are waiting can do.
