  1. I applied as well. My total weighted score should be 90 out of 100, but they haven't posted the tallied scores on the lottery webpage yet. Has anyone heard anything? It should be coming up real soon, right? Like this week or the next? Judging from comments, people were finding out around this time last year.
  2. I want to pop-in to this post because I am so curious too! :) Thank you Bronze 1 for your optimism! I was accepted into the Spring 2015 cohort, so I've got a lot of time to sit on my hands. I'm taking a mental break right now for summer, but I was thinking of rereading my A&P book to get in the groove of things. I have my CNA - are those skills you guys cover again and that I should review? Do you know the succession of semesters for Spring cohort students? I mainly want to know if we have summers off from the program. ;P I've heard a lot about the pathophysio class. Any tips to help prep for this class? Books? Fancy notecards? I have so much time that I figured it would be in my interest to start studying now, so I don't feel so lost! How did your fellow peers manage the cost of PLU? I'm saving my booty off right now, but it's definitely in the back of my mind that PLU is the 2nd most expensive BSN program in the state and I'm nervous. I really don't want to pop out of the school with a mountain of student debt. I'm ridiculously excited and bored out of my mind right now, lol. Thank you so much for any wisdom or info! :)
  3. Check your mail! :) Got my letter of acceptance and did a little dance at my mailbox. Spring '15 - now to enjoy this break as much as possible before the hard part!
  4. Do they send out all the immediate declines right away? I've been checking my mail hoping that I'm still in the consideration pile. No mail = no decline, right? I got the mass email too, but I had already mailed off my updated grades before that email.
  5. Oh, this makes me nervous! I'm taking O.Chem right now, and I don't find it necessarily challenging, but the teacher is the pickiest grader I've ever had, which is making me concerned. Going to have to study twice as hard! I hope you're right about the winter grades. I imagine people who will be completing their DT later than earlier are more likely to be getting in the Spring cohort. At an info session, the Dean of Nursing said that they typically have a ratio of 2/3 PLU and 1/3 Transfer in the Fall cohort and the reverse in the Spring. He also said that almost 80% of the acceptance letters they send out our contingent on 3.0 passing grades on remaining classes. I want that letter! :)
  6. I haven't checked this, since my initial post! The forum didn't keep me updated on whether this was active or not. :) Congrats James! Did you get into Fall or Spring? So exciting! You're going to have everyone checking their mail 10X a day, lol. I wasn't selected for the Provost Scholarship, but I was fortunate to be offered an Academic Achievement, Phi Theta Kappa, and Q Club, which is always a nice relief. :) Finishing my DT this quarter with my O.Chem and Micro. Sitting at a 3.9 cumulative, and 4.0 prereq so far. Hopefully I don't muck it up with these classes! Right now, I know I am on slim odds as I was put on academic probation six years ago the first time I went to school. Just keeping my fingers crossed that my grades, essays, and the letter of explanation are strong-enough. I would love to meet everyone here. 40 is a small class! I can only imagine it will be a great group. :) Good luck everyone! Keep us posted as you receive news!
  7. Anyone applying for the Fall 2014 and/or Spring 2015 PLU BSN program? I'm putting my finishing touches on my application this week, and I'm very nervous. Love to exchange advice, encouragement, anxiety, and profiles with other applicants. :) I will be completing my DTA in Spring at Tacoma Community College and currently have a 3.9 cumulative GPA and 4.0 in prereqs. Unfortunately, I do have a messy past from my first time attending a different college that is definitely coming back to haunt me at this point. Sigh. A family friend tried to ease my concerns by saying that PLU takes a holistic approach in considering applicants and they are most interested in the student you are now. *fingerscrossed* *deepbreaths* Good luck to everyone! :)
