Hi! I wanted to start a forum for Fall 2023 applicants. Would love to hear any and all info about what the program is like; I was accepted for last fall and deferred to this year. Best of luck to all!

I know NYU and Hofstra they pick your preceptors/locations for you. Hofstra you can put in requests and they'll accommodate. Molloy and Pace you find your preceptors/sites. And if you are having difficulty- they can help you find one. 

This is for Acute Care NP though, I would imagine it being little more tricky for FNP programs to find private practice offices to precept

I asked coworkers who just completed FNP program. According to them, pace university assigns students for clinical placements. Hope it continues to apply same to the new cohort.

you know I just realized this is an FNP thread and I was accepted to the acute care NP Program which might have totally different clinical placement procedures, sorry for scaring anyone

Hi! Just wanted to share in case it's helpful to others that I received an email yesterday (March 27th) at 6:15PM notifying me of an update to my application. The decision letter was available via the application login. I was accepted to the Fall 2023 FNP program. I applied by end of January for the March 1st deadline, though the last recommendation letter trickled in closer to end of February.

There are two approved ways to create a special place for your cohort.

One: create a facebook page. This link may be posted.

Two: Premium members may create a "club" by clicking on the Breakroom link in the yellow bar to the left of this page. Then click on "Create A New Club" in the green bar at the top of the page, and follow instructions.

I asked Molloy regarding clinical preceptors and Molloy graduate admission emailed back say "We guarantee clinical preceptorships for our MS students"
