Hi! I wanted to start this forum for people applying to Pace University's ABSN program for the Spring 2021 session. Best of luck to all of us!
@FutureMurse1627 Oreintation is on January 20th 10-12pm and classes start January 25th. If you were accepted off the waitlist (like me) you’ll receive a welcome email with the link to register for orientation along with them telling you when classes will be. It also tells you when and where you should order your uniform and nursing kit from and this is where you have to go through clinical clearance and background check etc. They wanted most of these things by December 1st, but they only sent me my welcome email yesterday so I’m sure they’re going to accommodate those who got accepted late. There’s also a facebook group for Spring 2021 and a group me so that helps with a lot too, if you decide to attend.
- Keep in mind, there’s so much stuff you have to pay for Prior to even starting the program but There may be ways to lessen the stress. For example, students who are in the current cohort are selling their scrubs and stuff for way less than the pace store, which helps financially.
And also you can defer by sending a deferral request email to the admissions or to your “counselor” which is whoever is listed on your application portal. However, I wanted to defer and he told me it wouldn’t guaranteed especially because I got accepted late. Once you send a request, it needs to be approved and there’s a chance it won’t because they really don’t want people deferring. He also told me I would STILL have to submit my $200 deposit now if I’m deferring regardless. I would definitely still speak to someone!

The interview was really relaxed. There were 3 faculty members- two being professors, one being an admissions counselor- and 8 students (including yourself). They asked two questions. The questions were:
1. What is something we should know about you that is not on paper and/or in your application?
2. What is the most recent book that you have read for fun?
I am patiently waiting for my decision now LOL. Good luck to everyone! Hoping for good news in the next few days!
Hello Julia, I'm a prospective applicant to the program and I need a guide for my Statement Letter. Any help will be appreciated from you all

Hi, I got accepted for Spring 2022, I am still not sure if I should go to Pace, I got accepted in Mercy as well. I would like to know how was your experience in Pace. Could you share your opinion? Thank you very much.

@FutureMurse1627 I just found out this afternoon that I got accepted. When I was on the waiting list I emailed them and asked if they were letting us know what ranking we were and they replied saying, “While the ranking information is not currently available, it will be based on a cumulative review of the results of the application/supporting documents and interview. The department will be actively reviewing the waitlist until New Student Orientation. There is no action required on your part as of now, but I will be sure to contact you should the department request anything additional. You are also welcome to keep in contact re: any new developments that you may experience (I.e. updated resume, volunteer hours).”
Hope this helps!!
