Pace University ABSN Spring 2019

Published

Hi all! I wanted to start a thread for people applying to Pace University's Accelerated BSN program for the spring of 2019 - I haven't found one yet! I'd love to chat with others who are applying!

Sarah- When I received the letter that I didn't get in I called the admissions office and he looked up my application and stuff and said that those grades were the reason why.

That's so frustrating that a grade from so long ago would be the deciding factor! I have a bad chemistry grade from freshman year (same thing as you, didn't quite know how to focus study on work during freshman year yet), but I did retake it this year and got a much better grade. Hopefully they take into account the new grade instead of the old one.

Good luck retaking psych!!

I just got accepted for the spring 2019 cohort. I plan on accepting my place on Monday. Who else got in?

What did most people wear to the interview? I'm not sure how I should dress for it! Thanks!

When did you get the email? Did you interview October 2nd?

I wore black jeans and a nice embroidered top with heels but most others were in business casual.

Got the email on Friday. Yes, I interviewed on the 2nd.

Congrats! How was your interview...i mean the what kinds of things should we be prepared to answer? Im reading the previous comments and I see that there's a group interview as well as a writing prompt? Would you like to share how your interview was and any helpful tips?

Group interview just about yourself. No writing just math test you have 10 mins for it and then 2 mins to prepare your answered about yourself and two mins to present them.

Oh okay thanks for the info! Im just really worried about the group interview because I get nervous with that stuff. But if the interview is just more about yourself than hopefully its not as bad. Did you have to know any medical news or topics?

Congratulations everyone and good luck to those of you with interviews coming up! And thanks for the helpful info! I haven't heard anything yet; trying to stay hopeful!

Thanks for the info about what people were wearing and about the interview! I couldn't figure out how professional they wanted everyone to be.

Yeah, did you have to know any medical news? I think I saw someone mention that before, but I don't know how that would fit into this interview if it's just telling them about ourselves.

And was there time to ask them questions, or no?
