Pace University ABSN Spring 2019

Published

Hi all! I wanted to start a thread for people applying to Pace University's Accelerated BSN program for the spring of 2019 - I haven't found one yet! I'd love to chat with others who are applying!

Hi everyone! Has anyone else gotten an email to interview? I just got my email today and scheduled mine for October 9th! I'm so nervous, because I'm also not great at interviews, and can't believe there's only 72 spots for over 500 applicants!

What was the Q&A like? Did the applicants have to ask the questions?

When did you all graduate college? I did in 2008. Just wondering where we're all at in life :)

Sarah - no email for me yet! Interviews make me nervous too. From what I've read, it seems like it's less of an interview (since it's a group thing); you just have to answer a couple questions. Hopefully that's less stressful!

P.S. Sarah, CONGRATS on the interview!!

Thanks, kb! Hopefully a group setting is a bit more casual/less stressful! But then you definitely have to make a point to make yourself heard!

Crossing my fingers you get an email soon! I sent my application out in early September and the wait has been so stressful!!

And I graduated in 2013! :)

Hi!

I graduated in 2018, this past May. I just recieved an interview for Oct 9th. Im so nervous! Any advice?

Hey everyone!

I graduated this past May as well. I got an email about a week ago to schedule an interview and I'll be interviewing Oct 9th as well. Best of luck to everyone, you got this!!

Also for anyone that's been interviewed already, do you guys have any advice? I'm super nervous!

I graduated college in 2011. My overall GPA was about a 3.2. But I got a C in my psych class from college... it was my freshman year at college and let's just say my priorities at that time weren't studying lol. and they looked at that specifically not so much the overall GPA. So that's one I'm redoing. Hope that info helps :)

Hi! Did they ask you specifically about that grade during your interview/let you know at some point that that one grade was counting against you?

Hey guys I just got an email for an interview (I'm super nervous and excited)! I was reading old forums and saw that they had writing prompts during interviews to see how well you were at writing about something random- to those who already had their interviews did you have to do this?!

The interview process varies by group. I did a conference call because I was out of town for a wedding. I was asked only one question, "Tell me about yourself?" And then they asked if I had any questions. To be honest we were wrapping things up over the conference call and I was disconnected. I thought for sure I was going to be eliminated because of that, but I got in. Make sure you make yourself stand out! Be unique and study up on current medical policies/health insurance. You don't have to know medical stuff, just be prepared to be asked about current events. Also be prepared for group interviews. As far as the math quiz goes study the material they gave you and even if you are good at math look over where it's important to have leading or trailing zeros. There should be little hint boxes on the study guide that pace provides to help you with that. Good luck everyone. I'm excited for spring 2019!

Also when you are accepted you receive an email and acceptance letter in the mail. It took about a week before my letter arrived. Good luck again.
