Pace University ABSN Fall 2021

Hi everyone, decided to start a thread for the Fall 2021 cohort since one wasn’t created yet. (Super early, I know LOL) I was accepted for Fall 2020 but decided to defer. Would love to connect with those who’ve applied/been accepted.

I didn’t notice whether the checklist disappeared or not last year.

The first time I applied I got rejected, and the rejection came via an email instructing me to log on to the applicant portal and the letter was there waiting

Hey guys! I just got rejected. They sent me an email to go check the application portal!

If anyone wants my stats, I had borderline prereqs, but I am a Pace Alumn, I interned at the Pace health center that is run by nurse practitioners and lobbied for the Nurse Practitioner Modernization Act that to prevent it from sunsetting, I was a medical scribe at an emergency room for 2 years, and I volunteered at a rescue. So I am assuming grades may be much more important to them just a heads up to everyone who may have great experiences but not the greatest gpas.

Im so sorry! I hope you can keep your head up. It seems you were very suitable for this, its horrible that grades are the ultimatum in decision making. I can say I barely have any of the experience you do and my GPA is not great. I am patiently waiting for a decision.

Keep your head up! From your post I can tell you’re passionate about nursing.. there’s more schools still taking applications and you can always apply for the next cohort. Im probably in the same boat as you but adversity creates strength and I’m not stopping till I reach my goals ? ? You got this!

Thank you guys so much, such sweet messages! Deff going to keep my head up there are still other schools I am applying to and waiting on. Good luck! Hopefully 2 years from now we will all be nurses !

So sorry to hear that! Definitely don't give up you have such great experience and there are so many great schools out there! Plus, like others have said there's always next cohort as well Good luck and I hope you get into your other choices!

Definitely don’t give up! You sound so passionate about the field, any school would be lucky to have you as a student. Best of luck to you ?

Did you ever hear anything back after your checklist reappeared? 

My checklist is still there but the blurb above it that usually says your application is complete and under review has disappeared...
