I am applying for the Pace ABSN Fall 2018 Program. I wanted to start a thread for anyone applying to the program because I realize how much information and support we can give each other. I applied to the NYC campus and plan to drop off my documents in person at the temporary office in a few days.
Yes I got an acceptance email as well. Will also have to discuss the low NCLEX takers number with them before paying the deposit. Please post what they tell you over the phone in here. I'll do as well.
Please share what they tell you. I also want to know why only 2-5 people took NCLEX from 2015-2017
Congrats everyone!! I am going to place my as soon as I get paid this Friday! Haha :) I just got the email a few days ago after interviewing on 2/12.
I think regarding the NCLEX rates... a lot of people on here are overthinking it while also simultaneously not thinking enough about what they are saying.
Take NYU for example. That link (nysed.gov one someone provided a few posts back) says that only 20 people took the NCLEX from NYU's ABSN program in 2016. However, I have a friend who graduated from that class and took her NCLEX in May 2016 along with literally her entire class, which was 128 students. That only counts students who took it following the Spring graduation. There are also students there who graduated at the end of December 2015 that took their NCLEX in January 2016. (I know one of them so I am not just hypothesizing that one!) Yet, that website only shows 20 people out of the ~250 that graduated from NYUs ABSN between December 2015-May 2016 who took their NCLEX sometime within the year of 2016.
That is all in addition to their traditional BSN program students, which is reported separately and still inaccurately on that site. I had been admitted to NYU's program to start this past January but could not attend due to the high cost and having to take out huge private loans, hence why I'm here now, but NYU's faculty and admissions reps will repeatedly tell you that their NCLEX pass rate is right around 87-90% depending on the year for ABSN students - not at all what you see on the nysed.gov site.
So basically: the reporting on this nysed.gov site is clearly off from reality and not at allllll worth deciding not to attend Pace over in my opinion. But you do you.

Thanks, that is def helpful!!
I am planning to put my deposit in by Friday too. Is there a Facebook group for the cohort?
I submitted my application a couple days before the deadline. The status just changed to "in review" last Friday. No interview yet. Maybe this week.
I in the same boat: applied 2 days before the deadline and one of my transcripts *finally* got there (3rd request to my old school). Went to "In Review" on Friday 2/16 so fingers crossed for an interview request!
