Pace ABSN Fall 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I am applying for the Pace ABSN Fall 2018 Program. I wanted to start a thread for anyone applying to the program because I realize how much information and support we can give each other. I applied to the NYC campus and plan to drop off my documents in person at the temporary office in a few days.

I am placing my deposit when I get paid tomorrow. :) I just talked to them and they explained it. They do have a 100% pass rate. Last year, all but 2 students (62/64) passed and took their exam. Those students dropped out after the first semester. They said that if the students don't type in their school and program correct, that it just goes to the overall state pass-rate and not to the individual school. So what we are seeing with 4/4 is only 4 of the 62 students that took the exam typed it in correctly. The year before that, they lost 6 students after the first two semesters, but that number was the 2-year and 1-year program combined, so they had more than 64 students in that graduating class.

I hope that helps and answers questions!

Thanks for the update, very good to know! I have quick question for you and the others that has been accepted already; i just interview recently and i'm curious of the GPA's of any of the accepted students? Just curious on my chances of getting in.

Thanks for the update. Who gave you this information? Is there any way to confirm this data... The incorrect spelling explanation sounds a little lousy to me.

My undergrad GPA was 3.8. I also took nursing prereq classes at some community college where my GPA was 4.0.

Its not the incorrect spelling, the students might just put Pace as their school and not specify whether they are accelerated or traditional. So it just goes to the state's rates. Same with NYU, I called them as well because I was looking at that school and they said the same thing. My friend who went to Duke accelerated program said that she only typed in Duke University (she said she forgot to specify) and her statistics went to the state and also counted for the 4 year undergrad statistics. If you want to call and talk to them, you may. I do know that that is very likely to happen though after talking to my friends who have taken the NCLEX.

I think they might have just emailed out the last of the interview rounds, just received mine for 3/19. It says they cap enrollment at 64 students and it's a rolling admission so they said to sign up for the earliest available. The only options I was given were for the date they are publicizing as the last date of interviews. I'm nervous that there will be 64 accepted student and place deposits by then!

I just received an interview email and will be doing it on the last day (March 19thh). I submitted my application the day before it was due, so I expected a late response. Anyone else interviewing march 19th?

Did anyone start a facebook group for our class yet?

I don't think so.

i did my interview today with about 25-30 ppl, i dont know the exact count. having that many ppl for an interview at a time in my personal opinion is crazy....i personally didnt like the way they set up the interview either but it is what it is. i honestly did not have a good impression of the committee that judged us. Some were nice, however, there was lady that had her phone ring twice and i noticed some of them seem uninterested. we all obviously want to get into a program, but at the same time i would appreciate a level of professional respect from these people that have the power to decide whether we can continue our dreams to be nurses or not. i doubt i got in cause everyone else was stellar but anyways best of luck to everyone! i hope you all get to be nurses one day :)

good luck! i also did my interview yesterday. hope we hear back soon!

Hey! I interviewed on 02/26! I wanted to know if anyone received an acceptance email yet? I checked the portal, and it changed to Decision Made. Still waiting on an email though! Please let me know :)
