I am applying for the Pace ABSN Fall 2018 Program. I wanted to start a thread for anyone applying to the program because I realize how much information and support we can give each other. I applied to the NYC campus and plan to drop off my documents in person at the temporary office in a few days.
Thanks so much for posting your experience, Iï¸ had no idea the "interview" would be like that! So they had you stand up in front of everyone and talk about the Affordable Care Act? That's intense! I'm sure you did great and really appreciate you posting about it!
The writing task was the affordable care act but the interview was them asking you other things! But yeah they give you a few minutes to prepare then call you up one by one. Definitely intimidating.
The atmosphere in my interview on 2/12 was not intimidating at all in my opinion so don't get too worried everyone! Yes, you go stand up front and talk about yourself for a couple minutes but they give you the prompts and a few minutes to prepare before anyone starts going. Of course I was nervous, but it seems like they were mostly interested in how you handle talking in front of people you don't know - an important skill to have if you want to be a successful nurse. But the way the set up the room was so they were sort of in the corner and not in your direct vision which lowered the intensity level for me at least! The math was easy if you go over the packet they send you with the interview confirmation, and the writing was about the ACA but according to the woman from admissions it is mainly to make sure that you can actually write and that 'you wrote your essay and not someone else'. So I wouldn't stress over it too terribly much!!
Just the general graduate admissions email. Iï¸ put my student ID, name, program I'm applying to and item Iï¸'m referencing allllll right in the subject line. They said are still getting tons of documents and doing that helps them find things when you call to follow up.Oh, and did they tell you to email unofficial transcripts? They told me to do that, and then they took those items off my checklist within a few hours.
I emailed multiple times and finally my application is saying complete. This is a nail biting slow process. I will wait to see how long it will take to go to the ‘in review' stage. Did you get an interview date as yet @tinyspoons?
