Pace ABSN Fall 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I am applying for the Pace ABSN Fall 2018 Program. I wanted to start a thread for anyone applying to the program because I realize how much information and support we can give each other. I applied to the NYC campus and plan to drop off my documents in person at the temporary office in a few days.

@jessie02 it was okay! Could've gone better but I think I let my nerves get the best of me haha but the group interview wasn't what I expected. It was more of a presentation - we each stood in the front of the room and spoke to admissions and everyone else in the room, I think 11 other applicants total. I was expecting more of a sit down and talk to each other type interview so it threw me off a bit.

That was topic, also I also wasn't expecting a real question like that. Thought it'd be a simple "tell me about yourself" or something along those lines. But they had said they weren't really focused on your opinion just more how you write.

My application status still says in review, I don't know about anyone else from the 2/5 interviews

Thanks so much for posting your experience, I️ had no idea the "interview" would be like that! So they had you stand up in front of everyone and talk about the Affordable Care Act? That's intense! I'm sure you did great and really appreciate you posting about it!

The writing task was the affordable care act but the interview was them asking you other things! But yeah they give you a few minutes to prepare then call you up one by one. Definitely intimidating.

The atmosphere in my interview on 2/12 was not intimidating at all in my opinion so don't get too worried everyone! Yes, you go stand up front and talk about yourself for a couple minutes but they give you the prompts and a few minutes to prepare before anyone starts going. Of course I was nervous, but it seems like they were mostly interested in how you handle talking in front of people you don't know - an important skill to have if you want to be a successful nurse. But the way the set up the room was so they were sort of in the corner and not in your direct vision which lowered the intensity level for me at least! The math was easy if you go over the packet they send you with the interview confirmation, and the writing was about the ACA but according to the woman from admissions it is mainly to make sure that you can actually write and that 'you wrote your essay and not someone else'. So I wouldn't stress over it too terribly much!!

Has anyone from the 2/5 interview heard anything yet or had a change of application status? I interviewed that day and am getting so anxious

Mine just changed to decision made within the last few hours

Me too, did yours say "A decision has been made and your official decision letter has been mailed to you."? This is so frustrating, I wish they just told us the answer automatically on the portal!

Lol dont know how to delete comments

@mmp27 yes exactly that! I read on another thread from 2017 that once the portal said decision made people got the email about two days later then the letter in the mail a few days after that.

I've refreshed my email a thousand and one times already

So anyone interviewed February 12th at 12pm? This waiting game is really nerve-wracking!!!

Just got my acceptance email - good luck to everyone else!!!!

Hi friends!

I had th interview on 2/5 8am and my portal changed to decision made yesterday evening.

I got an email less than a half hour ago so best wishes to you all!!

Just the general graduate admissions email. I️ put my student ID, name, program I'm applying to and item I️'m referencing allllll right in the subject line. They said are still getting tons of documents and doing that helps them find things when you call to follow up.

Oh, and did they tell you to email unofficial transcripts? They told me to do that, and then they took those items off my checklist within a few hours.

I emailed multiple times and finally my application is saying complete. This is a nail biting slow process. I will wait to see how long it will take to go to the ‘in review' stage. Did you get an interview date as yet @tinyspoons?
