Pace ABSN FALL 2016

Published

Hi everyone!

I wanted to start a thread for anyone that applied Pace for Fall 2016 accelerated nursing program in NYC.

All my documents were checked on Feb 29th. My status has been showing in review since March 1st. Any one knows how long the review takes? Did anybody already get the interview or got accepted already?

I'm coming from California and right now my plan is to get a place with my brother who lives in NYC...If things happen to change I will let you know! @jae5193

Hey I know this is a pretty late comment, but I was looking to inquire about various accelerated programs in NYC and in its ambiance. I would like to ask someone, if some does get to see this message, what kind of requirements does one need to fulfill to apply and potentially get accepted into the programs. What kind of grades does one need to have in undergrad and in the prerequisite classes to make them a strong candidate? Also, any experience needed in the healthcare field? Thank you to anyone who sees this post and responds. :)

Wow, I just got off the waitlist haha. Talk about a shocker!!

Hi Drake

I'm currently in the 2 year program at Pace in NYC- for me I had A's and one A- in all my pre-reqs, but it doesn't matter where you take them from. I went to a private college for my undergrad and I had pretty bad science grades, so I retook all my pre-req's at LaGuardia Community college and Queens college (which were much easier!). In terms of experience, some people that I interviewed with didn't have much health background experience since we all came from different fields but its definitely a plus to have some! I use to work at NYU Langone Medical Center and volunteer and I felt like helped me a lot for the interview.

Anyways, I remember being on this sight a lot while I was applying so I just want to pay it forward. Let me know if you have any more questions! :)

So great to hear from someone in the program. I'm also interested in applying for 2017, so would love to hear from anyone else on their grades or volunteer work before applying.

hows the accelerated program? is it doable?

Hows the environment? are the professors helpful?

My interview is for March 20 and I have to take a math and english exam.

Can someone please provide some information about what to expect from the writing sample test?

Was looking down the latest NYS NCLEX passing results for 2015 - 2013; Pace NYC undergraduate program has a 100% passing rate, which is great, until you look at the detailed numbers. Graduating classes of one or two students who all pass. What happened to the others that entered those classes?

Their ABSN is no different; four students graduated and sat for the NYCLEX and all passed.

Is PACE running a nursing school or endurance program? *LOL*

Hi! I was recently accepted into the ABSN program at Pace for fall 2017 at the NYC campus. I am really eager to talk to someone that has been in this program and can tell me about the experience! There are some horror stories about this program in earlier years and I just want to be sure things have changed for the better. I am also trying to figure out if the program is accredited! If I look it up on the CCNE website, only the pleasantville campus is listed. Please post back on here or feel free to email me at [email protected]. I would appreciate it so much!!

Hey everyone, I was looking to apply to PACE and wanted to hear from some students how they're liking the program? I wanted to do the ABSN for sure. I only can find that "beware" thread so I'm looking to hear some more responses.

Thank you!!
