PA BON Requirements

Nurses General Nursing

Published

I am an out of state nursing student in IL and wish to apply to PA nursing board to take the NCLEX in PA. PA requires fingerprinting for out of state students, but I cannot find the service code for IdentoGo to use. I tried contacting the BON for help, but no one has gotten back with me. Does anyone know what service code should be used so that my fingerprint cards will go to the PA state nursing board?

Thank you!

The time frame for phase one (Phase One measures the time between when the Department receives notice of your program completion from your educational institution, and when the Department notifies you that you are eligible to take the exam or that your application is incomplete and we need additional information.) is 2-3 weeks. The time frame for the whole process is up to 7 weeks. I have been in phase one for 5 weeks now. They haven't even given me the TPP that I paid $70 for. And according to their website, the time frame for that is ten days! I emailed a senator today. At this point, I am not even able to start my job on Monday July 6th like I was supposed to.

Anyone else have any updates or luck with contacting them??

STILL PENDING REVIEW. ENTERING WEEK NUMBER 7 IN PHASE ONE.

I am also still pending review ? my friends from IL are already passing NCLEX and meanwhile my application isn’t even approved yet . Why is PA so behind compared to every other state ?!

At a loss for words right now. Getting very frustrated. Contacted state senators and waiting for a response from them now.

Im in the same boat. transcripts have been "pending review" since May 28th. Everything else has been marked "completed" since May 13th! Is there something Im missing?! Why is it taking so long? I graduated from a school in MA and im moving to PA this month. I NEED my license!

I got everything just now. My ATT and my practice permit. The licensing department at my hospital contacted them and I think that is what caused them to give me ATT and TPP! Best of luck, let me know what happens with you guys!

I’m glad you got your ATT and permit finally . I have hit another dead end with the board after getting a voicemail they would send my application to the evaluator on July 2nd . The woman said I would hear back within 24-48 hours , but I received no contact . I have left two more voicemails with no answers since then. I am so frustrated ?

Is there a licensing department at your hospital that you can contact?

I am not currently with a hospital . I made it through the first round of interviews for a residency but the program is now delayed .

You get your stuff yet?

They didn’t accept my transcript that I submitted in May so I had to re-send one and now I’m waiting for them to approve it. I called about it and they basically said “it takes time to add the transcript to the application” ?.

Aww jeez I’m so sorry you’re still dealing with this! It’s insane. I hope it happens for you any day now ?
