My family each received THREE notices from a public interest group that we can request mail in ballot ---thats ALONG with Republican and Democratic party mail in voter application forms sent to our homes --- went into trash can each time as were voting in person.  So I can understand why PA election bureau staff are seeing so many duplicate ballot requests in PA.   Especially since requested ballot  did not go out until the past week.    HOWEVER this is not voter fraud despite what our commander in chief might say.   Some election offices getting 5,000 calls a day!

Pennsylvania’s Rejection of 372,000 Ballot Applications Bewilders Voters and Strains Election Staff

Most rejected applications were deemed duplicates because voters had unwittingly checked a request box during the primary. The administrative nightmare highlights the difficulty of ramping up mail-in voting on the fly.

Pennsylvania, one of the most hotly contested battlegrounds in the presidential election, has rejected 372,000 requests for mail-in ballots, straining election offices and bewildering voters.

More than 90% of those applications, or about 336,000, were denied as duplicates, primarily because people who had requested mail-in ballots for the state’s June 2 primary did not realize that they had checked a box to be sent ballots for the general election, too. Voters have also been baffled by unclear or inaccurate information on the state’s ballot-tracking website, and by a wave of mail ballot applications from political parties and get-out-the-vote groups. County offices across the state have been forced to hire temporary staff and work seven days a week to cope with the confusion....

They also include the application for the mail in ballot on the registration form. Which will get you rejected as not registered because the mail in ballot application part processes faster than the registration part.

We voted by mail in the primary, checked the box for a mail-in ballot for the general election, and received our ballots for the general election about three weeks ago. Yesterday, I dropped off my completed ballot to a collection box at one of our fire stations.

Done.
