hello I wanted to ask when it comes to getting accepted, do they focus more on the pre req gpa or the overall gpa. or is the overall gpa used only for tie breakers? reason behind my question is that im finishing with a prereq gpa of 3.83 and an overall gpa of 3.13....thanks for any feedback love this site!

It depends on the school. Also- it would make your posts easier to read it you capitalized etc.

What kind of program are you applying to, and what kind of school? That would make a difference. A community college offering an ADN may take a lower GPA and take into account one type of GPA, and a 4 year university may offer a BSN and take a different kind of GPA into account and require a minimum of 3.5. You would have to contact the school in question and ask them.
Im sorry I should've been more specific. I will be applying to Hillsborough Community College, ADN program. Thank for the feedback!

You need to check with the nursing department of that school to see how they calculate eligibility. Mine looked at GPA of the hard sciences, only.
