Over a month and still no results

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I took NCLEX-RN here in California on August 21. I was the very first person in my class to test and yet I am only 1 of 2 of us that has been waiting. I've called the BRN a few times and been assured that my file is complete, but my results have not been processed/manually entered into the computer.

When asked about why it is that some people that tested the same day or after me have gotten results on Breeze in 48 hrs I was told that depending on how the initial file is processed some applicants are set up for auto license once their results clear. The others are set up for manual process and that it is split so that 50% of applicants are auto license and the other 50% are manual process. This was the first I had heard this and it really makes no sense to me that they would make this their process.

Now my concern is their processing times are listed on the BRN site and it says that they are processing results from 8/31/15-9/4/15. Since I tested 8/21 what does this mean for me? I literally don't know what to do anymore. I don't want to call again and be brushed off but I don't want to be lost in the system either. Anyone have a similar situation? At this point it's just very frustrating not being able to do anything until those results come in.

You do realize that there is only 1 person handling all of the applications and NCLEX results for California. Mildred is 80 yrs old and a can only process a few applications before taking a nap.

OMG this is horrible!!!

It really is...

I do realize they're understaffed, I get it, I do. It just seems long even for being understaffed. I just feel like I should be doing something to stay on top of it but I don't want to call and further delay them.

I hope you got some good news!!

No. Still nothing...when I sign on to Breeze I'm still showing pending and no license info. Got the good pop up on Pearson twice so I'm trying to keep that in mind. I will call again if it doesn't show up tomorrow.

I took my exam on September 16th, and I am in the same situation. I am the only one of my colleagues that has not received their results; all others found their license on Breeze in about 48 hours. I called the BRN this morning and they said my results are being manually processed as well. The Pearson trick is still working, and my test shut off after 77 questions, so I have hope, but still... the waiting is the hardest part!!

Just know you are not alone!

Let us know when you get your results, friend!

Hi! My license posted on Breeze a few days ago, Sept 30.

The day before my license posted I went through so much grief that day. I had an operator pass me off to someone without telling me anything, I assume he was a supervisor because he insisted he didn't do status updates regularly. Anyhow, this gentleman told me that there was no record of me having ever taken the exam. I had no exam history so he assumed Pearson had never transmitted my results and told me I had to call pearson. I called pearson and they said my results were transmitted and the board acknowledged receipt on 8/24 3 days after I tested. This prompted a follow up call to the BRN on my part and thank goodness I got a very nice gentleman on the line this time. He told me that their pearson liaison must not have released/processed my results. He told me he would email her and have her process them right away, and that he had to say it would take a couple days but realistically she would have it done in a couple hours. He also told me he would personally contact me if anything else was wrong beyond that. By that time it was nearly closing time for them so I assumed I wouldn't see it in a couple hours lol. Then lo and behold my license was there at 0815 the next morning.

This was my 6th week of waiting and I honestly think that they don't fully look into the issues unless its been their full 4-6 week processing time.I did have multiple people along the way ask "when did you test" "what date did you say you tested" like maybe they couldn't see my history like the supervisor said and they just brushed it off cause it was "early". All you can do is stay on top of it. I just didn't want to be lost in the system forever so I contacted them and made they look into it.

Best of luck and keep us updated!
