OU ABSN 2018 (2017 Applicant)

Published

Hey there! I am looking to apply this fall for the 2018 OU ABSN program. Any others find their way here yet?

I am still finishing up my first bachelor's degree but will be done in Dec. 2017. I was told that I can still apply in the fall.

I am expecting rejection or waitlisted due to the fact that I won't be finished with my degree, and my cumulative gpa is pretty rough. Hoping to have a 4.0 in last 60 and a 4.0 in Science with a pre-reqs completed to give myself a shot.

Would love to find others on this same journey!

I can't look at my phone at work and it's killing me not being able to check frequently. Haha

My hopes that today is the day are rapidly diminishing.

The longer it lasts the more I second guess my chances of getting accepted. Just ready for it to be over

I really have a feeling it'll be next week or something smh I wonder what took them so long in the first place

Too many excellent choices, obviously. ;)

Thank you! I found it. I hadn't even thought to look there. Now, I have one more place to obsessively check. Lol!

I heard a rumor that there was an error in the grades calculations. I do know that OU calculates our last 60, not NursingCAS, so there is definitely room for error. They have also had a lot of change to the faculty of the nursing program. I believe that Angela is new to her position.

Where else have you been checking? That, along with email, has been the only other place I check. I am so tired of checking.... :/

Decisions will not be released today...

Is what I will keep telling myself today in order to remain sane seeing as how I'm on the allnurses forum at 6 a.m. Going to be another long day.

Yes it is...........

Refreshing this thread just as often as I am the actual application. If I do get in I can point to this as the moment when I officially stopped having a life. haha

I noticed something new on the application instructions in bold print. It basically suggests NOT paying the nursing CAS to put in transcripts bc it could take an additional 6 weeks or so. I wonder if there were some delays related to that process...either way it would be nice to know something.
