I wanted to start this thread for all of the OSU OKC Spring 2014 applicants. I turned in my application yesterday and I can not wait for letters to go out! I am new to allnurses (but not to OSU OKC) and was hoping to share some of my excitement and anticipation with some other OSU OKC Spring 2014 hopefuls!
Hey, I got my books too but I got all of the required books together in a box and the box comes with digital copies for your computer. I went to the osu okc bookstore and they let you try on the scrubs... I just tried on the top and jacket for sizing. I think the scrub tops run a little small but everything else is true to size.
I just check this feed every now and then to see if anything is new.
I'm finishing my 2nd semester in nursing at OSU-OKC and I can give you a little "inside baseball" about the scrubs situation. The pants are inconsequential so long as they are black, as mentioned before, but the scrub tops must come from the book store. I was as disappointed by this as the next person. The scrub top color is exclusively licensed by the NCAA and the scrub top also has patches/embroidery above the left breast pocket and on the back just below the collar in addition to the patches that you must purchase and sew/have sewn on. Hope this helps and good luck!
Yes, I got it from the bookstore and I attached a picture of the e books folder and it has a computer, phone and iPad on the cover so it should work. I haven't tried it yet. Also a great thing about this is at the end of the semester you can sell back the hard copy books but keep the e book version. The guy also said if they plan on using a newer or different book then one that was on the box, I can bring that book back and trade it for the correct one but he said they won't change the books.
It was a little over $600 and he said it would cost the same buying them by their self but you get e books with all of them this way. It would be about half the price if you just buy the e books but I think I would need a hard copy. I think its the same price because I'm sure some of the books come with the e book automatically but I'm not for sure. Its also convenient.

Hi everyone,
I also bought my stethoscope from Medisave, although in a different color. I think it was a bit cheaper on Amazon, but I liked that Medisave will do free engraving; I had my initials put on it.
I was wondering if anyone knew about the sizing of the scrubs. Are they unisex (I hope not)? I'm thinking about ordering a couple of sizes, just in case. Also, do we need just one pair to start with?
I've gotten a few of the books already. The Fundamentals of Nursing book is big and heavy. I'm thinking I may need to invest in one of those rolling backpacks. I've seen nursing students use them at school, and now I know why.
