OSU-OKC Fall 2021

Published

I haven't seen a forum for nursing applicants for the Fall of 2021! Just out of pure curiosity where others are standing with points and anxious about applying!

I wasn’t sure of my GPA because I have a bachelors and a masters so I wasn’t sure how it would be calculated but I spoke with Gaytra and she was super nice and helpful! I’m just glad I have above 80 and I literally caught her the day I took my HESI and turned it in. I was told it would be by the end of the month/early May!

That makes sense, that would certainly make it more complicated! I'm glad she was helpful, and glad you got it figured out. I think 80+ puts you at a really good place! I'm curious how many people applied this cycle. The waiting part sucks!!

That’s what I want to know as well! I want to call and ask but I don’t want to seem too anxious ? I wonder what the point cut off is.. that’ll be helpful for sure.

Very anxious! Seems like it is taking longer to hear this cycle but I was rejected last time so maybe those letters went out early??

Do they just send letters, or emails as well? And if emails, do you know if they send those at the same time? How long after the end of the application period did you hear last time? Also, I'm sorry you didn't get accepted last cycle, I'm sure that it makes it more stressful this go round. Fingers crossed for you!!

If anyone calls, please update us! I know it hasn't even been 2 weeks, but still. LOL

Sorry to hear that!! Hopefully we all hear good news this time! Last I heard they get mailed out but IDK when.. this is my first time applying so I’m trying to figure all this out as well ?

My understanding is they only send out letters, at least that is what I received. I just dug mine out of the pity vault and it was dated Oct 2. So it was actually 4 weeks! It seemed so much faster but I guess it really wasn't. I was rejected because I did not meet the points minimum which was 78. My GPA was 4.0 and mid 90s on HESI. My points were just under 78 so they seem to stick to it!

Waaaait. How did you have under 78 with that?! Did you take any classes that are in the nursing degree?

Oh wow, your GPA & HESI are amazing, I bet you're good to go this round! I would've thought your points would be higher with those. Now I'm questioning my calculations!! haha. Micro is the only pre-req I haven't completed yet.

Thanks for looking at your last letter, at least we have some sort of reference to go off of!

Yep, lots of them. I only had one of the sciences tho, Chem. The points were different last cycle as far as how they were calculated, bonus points etc. I made sure I had the so called "pre reqs" of Psyc, Chem, Eng, and NSCI.
