OSU-OKC Fall 2021

I haven't seen a forum for nursing applicants for the Fall of 2021! Just out of pure curiosity where others are standing with points and anxious about applying!

Hi there!  I applied with 86 points, but from what I’ve seen in past threads, that’s not a great amount of points.  Just crossing my fingers and hoping the cut off isn’t super high!  What about you?

Well, I shouldn’t say it’s not a decent amount of points, but it’s not a “I can relax, I’m definitely gonna get in” score! ?

I am taking my HESI in the morning. Right now I have 56 points, when I calculated last month I had 70, so I think they changed their point calculation for this semester again. I didn’t attend OSU- OKC for my pre-reqs and my GPA isn’t the strongest. So I guess I’ll just cross my fingers that I do really well on my HESI.

Applied for Fall '21 traditional path. Didn't meet points threshold last cycle so really hoping I have enough this time around. Does anybody know when letters are supposed to go out?

I’m not sure on when the letters go out, but from what I’ve seen in some older posts, it’s usually around a 4-6 week wait! ?

Do you remember what the point cut off was the law few semesters?  This is my first time to apply and I’m super nervous I don’t have enough points.

Hope your HESI test went well, Ash!

The point cut off last cycle was 78. I think the semester before that was 74 but not 100% sure.

Okay, cool.  Thank you so much for the info!  Now, it’s the horrible waiting game!  Good luck!

You're welcome. Heard it's more competitive than usual this cycle but if you have all of your sciences and strong stats with HESI score, GPA etc then hopefully it's good enough!

I have all my sciences and a decent GPA (3.44) but my HESI wasn’t great, so that’s where I’m worried!  ?

As long as it was 75 or higher you should be set!

Hi! I turned in my application today for the fall traditional program.

Where are you guys getting any info about how many applicants or how competitive it is this cycle? My bestie also applied & we're just trying to ease our anxiety with finding as much info as we can, which may be counterintuitive, but 4-6 weeks waiting seems like forever!

Hey Congrats on getting the app turned in! I turned mine in the first week of Feb so the wait has been extremely long!

A couple of ppl from my psio class who had planned to apply this cycle but decided against it after meeting with their advisors. They were told this cycle was extremely competitive and from what I can remember there were going to be fewer spots available (something about covid but can't recall specifically). Anyway it's second hand so I would not worry too much about it. They personally decided to wait until next cycle because their points were just over requirement and other stats mediocre so felt more points next cycle would help put them into better contention.
