  1. My only concern is that other vaccines such as the flu has taken nearly 3 decades to develop an effective vaccine which killed 50M people worldwide. The Hepatitis B vaccine took 12 years for the FDA to approve it. Granted science has evolved greatly. Yes, the goal is to protect myself and those around me. But what are the long term effects when I am considering I have 2 young children to raise. Is there enough studies done to show that although it may protect me for now, what could be my complications a couple years down the road that could take me away from my children still. I understand that the goal is to get COVID-19 under control but I also have to think about the present as well as my future. *By no means, is this inviting others to come with negative comments and belittle me because of my personal concerns. This is just me saying why I have been on the edge about my job mandating the vaccine for all employees.
  2. I don’t think we will be able to find out for a few weeks, until they start looking at all the applications. From a previous thread I started they said acceptance letters started going out around 4 weeks after the deadline.
  3. Hey guys!! Starting a forum for applicants/students to talk to each other about applying for the Spring traditional nursing program. I know most of us have questions and are anxious about starting this journey. Hopefully we can help one another through the process. Good luck to us all!
  4. Congrats you guys!
  5. I'll give her a call next week and find out! I didn't apply to OCCC their point system is drastically different its only out of 25 points, but the pre-reqs are the same, I am finishing up my last science pre-req with them currently.
  6. By any chance does anyone know if the Spring session is during the day? At OCCC the Spring cohort is evening classes. TIA
  7. I didn’t do well on the HESI Chemistry section. I got 88 in English and Math but bombed the Chemistry section. I thought it was going to be A&P not Chem. I’ll just use this cycle as a learning lesson and apply for next semester. I’ll have all my pre-reqs done by then.
  8. I am taking my HESI in the morning. Right now I have 56 points, when I calculated last month I had 70, so I think they changed their point calculation for this semester again. I didn’t attend OSU- OKC for my pre-reqs and my GPA isn’t the strongest. So I guess I’ll just cross my fingers that I do really well on my HESI.
  9. I am applying for OSU-OKC ADN program this upcoming week. Very nervous and excited. I haven't seen any forum conversations for others that are applying to get into the program this fall. How many point are you applying with!?
  10. I haven't seen a forum for nursing applicants for the Fall of 2021! Just out of pure curiosity where others are standing with points and anxious about applying!
