OSU grad entry 2019

Published

Hi! Is anyone else planning to apply to Ohio State's grad entry program, 2019 start date? I am checking every day, waiting for the application to be open! I am studying for the GRE (taking it 7/28) and trying to find someone to shadow. I'll be applying to the CNM track.

The Nursing Graduate Studies Committee (reviews/selects candidates for admission) has their second/final meeting for February this Thursday, so maybe there's a chance for decision releases on Friday.. Js. ?

Hello everyone! I applied for the NNP program. I had my application done in August so this has been the longest wait of my life!!! Has anyone heard anything? Still waiting....

I believe they are waiting to release all the traditional and graduate entry masters decisions at the same time. I think there's a decent chance it could be today or tomorrow, but at least we should know within the next week! I'll post on here once I hear something and hopefully others will as well. Apparently even once they update your status on the application portal, it sometimes doesn't update until late at night, so it's really hard not to check at all hours. I can't wait to be done waiting! Lol

Good luck to all of you guys

How do you know they might release today/tomorrow?

I read from someone from last year that theirs updated in the middle of the night. She went to bed Friday night and it was pending and then 2am Saturday she was feeding her daughter and it was updated. I am so nervous I could throw up. It’s so much to base your life on one decision. And they told me they only take 45% of applications!

I don't know that they will, just seems like a possibility since the last committee meeting is today. I feel like tomorrow or beginning of next week is more likely though, since the graduate admissions office will have so many decisions to update. It seems like in previous years, applicants were seeing their statuses updated over the course of a few days during that process.

I know, which makes it even worse! I woke up at random intervals last night and couldn't resist checking the stupid application portal, bleary-eyed and half-awake, because you never know.. (even though I kinda did lol)

It's just so weird and nerve-racking knowing your future education/career gets revealed with a few tiny words on a computer screen, at any time now. I wasn't overly worried about it until that realization hit me about a week ago.

But it's nice knowing I'm not alone with feeling super antsy. Hopefully our peace and sanity gets restored with positive news soon :p

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know approximately what the matriculating class size is? I've seen numbers for how many applied & were admitted in previous years, but nothing specific as far as enrollment numbers for each cohort or for individual specializations.

Does anyone have an idea on the retention rate for this program?

If you mean from the applicants they keep 45%.

I mean like once admitted into the program, how many make it through the entire program?

Has anyone heard anything?
