OSU grad entry 2019

Published

Hi! Is anyone else planning to apply to Ohio State's grad entry program, 2019 start date? I am checking every day, waiting for the application to be open! I am studying for the GRE (taking it 7/28) and trying to find someone to shadow. I'll be applying to the CNM track.

@justine8120 they said they accept 43% of applicants (I think it was like 110/260 applicants)

Anyone else here apply for Psychiatric Mental Health?

Does anyone else have "pending" in their portal? Mine does not say complete which is kind of concerning, even though I completed everything on time

I am going to assume that as long as each individual element such as your recommendation letters, statement, etc are marked as completed it shouldn't be a problem. My official application status also says "pending". I don't think it's going to change until they make a decision!

@Mbsp I saw that stat somewhere but the way it was worded it seemed that was the number for all the np programs not just neonatal but maybe not!

@justine8120 my bad I thought you were talking about the program in general! They didn't really have a value for me when I asked them about that. The neonatal does have less seats than the other specialties according to the admission lady from that session.

Confirmed with someone in admissions today that decisions are projected to be released mid-to-late February for this application cycle

wow that is so late. My friend said they told them the same last year (February) but found out in December so hopefully it is the same this year.

I actually emailed them this morning and they said the same thing about mid to late February, but I hope its in December lol! They also told me that we should be getting an email within the next week or so confirming the application completion status and giving a definitive timeline of the rest of the admission process. So at least we'll have that!

How odd. You would think since we completed the interview at the same time as all our other application materials that we would actually find out sooner! Still banking on mid December!!

Yea I'm not sure what the reason would be except maybe they tried to do it sooner in the past so people missing a prerequisite course would know in time to take it in the spring if needed.. who knows though! Definitely need to figure out how to distract myself for the next few months.. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't already checked the portal a few times just in case something was miraculously updated, haha

Has anyone received a confirmation email with the decision date yet? I was initially told that it would be sent out a few weeks after the deadline so just making sure I haven't somehow missed anything
