OSCE REVISION for NMC REGISTRATION

Published

I am Wency, a registered nurse in the Philippines. I recently passed the IELTS (8.5, 7,7,7) and the NMC part 1 competency test which is the CBT. Now, I am preparing for the final test which is the OSCE. I am currently in the United Kindom particularly in Lincolnshire, and I would like to ask you guys if you know a training agency in the UK that provides training or preparatory course for OSCE because I am not confident to take it yet for some reasons that the Uk healthcare system is different from the Philippines perhaps they have different approach in providing care to the patients and etc.

Tuition fee for intensive revision for OSCE is not a problem as long as I can enroll for revision.

anyone here taken the OSCE in Oxford?how was it?are they more considerate than Northampton?

Hello, i just want to ask how do address a patient on oxygen mask in the news score? how do you compute the inspired O2%? Can anybody help me please? Thank you so much

Hello! To all who have done a re-sit...Are you tested on the same skills as before or do they give you different ones? Many Thanks!

I was tested on the same skills but i don't know if this was a fluke. We will have to see if others have too.

Did you pass the re-sit??

Hi guys. How do you fill up the "reason for admission" section on the transfer of care letter form in the evaluation section?

When did you take your resit?

Great! Sorry, I just saw this message. I don't know if I can PM you on this site yet, as I don't have enough posts. Are you able to PM me?

Thanks Bobbysox, have you taken your resit? I am due to take again next month.

Hey guys, just thought I would share my experience with you since I picked up a few tips here. I passed my OSCE, had to retake the skills stations once (although I feel like they just wanted my money for that). Anyway, I had no idea what to study or how, so I took a one day course with Welcome Health Skills Training

I found that was for sure the most helpful thing anyone could do, the instructor was great, (mostly) knew his stuff and knows what the NMC is looking to catch you out on. I think he runs courses in London and Manchester, they go for about £200 each (well worth the money if you ask me), there might be multiple day courses too I can't remember. Anyway good luck everyone
