osce ( observational structured clinical examination)

Hi,

I am internationally trained nurse from India. I applied for registration as RN in college of nurses of Ontario Oct 2011. They took over a year and finally determined that my education/ experience is not equivalent to those of current graduates of Canadian nursing program. They have asked me to write Observational Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) and pass in order to show equivalency. My question is that have anybody else been asked to take OSCE exam and what to expect? Also what does the college consider while evaluating education as other nurses from my college have been given eligibility without fulfilling any other criteria or exam!!

Hi! may I ask those who got the result of they OSCE what courses are you require to take? I just took up last june 27 I want to inquire to school because I want to go back to school as soon as possible.

Hi! Anyone knows how much time takes to get a date for evaluation since the option form was sent to CNO? I visited the site of CEHPEA in Toronto and noted that there is no test date available till march 2014, all previous dates are full and closed for registration.Sincerely.

Js got the letter from CNO yesterday to take the OSCE. Any advice regarding the preparation will be much appreciated. If anyone is interested in group preparation, I live in Scarborough. Pls suggest how to prepare. Thanks a lot.

sonu5160, have you mailed back your Option Form to CNO? I received mine last week. I'm also looking for prep courses around Toronto but can't find any so I guess self-review is the only thing we could do. :unsure:
