Hello,

I've been working in the ICU for 2.5 years now and today, I'm going to be orienting to hearts. I've been taking care of POD#1 hearts for a while, but never one fresh from the OR. I'm excited!

Anyhow, I just wanted to share that! Hope everyone has a great day!

My first one went very well and there were no complications. A good first experience. Pt came back on a touch of precedex and ntg, and we woke em up, extubated, stood at the side of the bed a few hours later...all in all they did very well! A nice smooth one for my first one. Today will be my 2nd - take care everyone!

Just an update, all is going well. I've been off orientation to hearts now for a while, and have recovered a few solo now. It's interesting! I like the patients more than the surgeons, but isn't that usually the case? Hah!
