I would like to know if anyone have taken Chemistry 1320 at OCC. I took it in January and due to my work schedule and the fact that the instructor who is adjunct was all over the place for me to keep up anyway I Withdrew...Anyhow I took it again this semester with an instructor who I was told by many students that she was great and I have witnessed that myself. She is a very patient and willing to help all of her students pass/succeed in the class. Well, Guess What, The instructor has fallen ill and just so happen the adjunct whom I had in January is taking over.:uhoh21::bluecry1::bluecry1::bluecry1:...I am in total turmoil emotionally right now. This is the only prerequisite I need and my application to OU accelerated Program will be complete. The Dean of Science along with the Chair of the science department at OCC Southfield came into the class and gave us the option of dropping the course and getting a complete refund or sticking it out with her... I dont now what to do? I can not take this class again and if I do I can register in the winter with the instructor who has fallen ill, but theres no guarantee that she will be back next year and then I will be stuck with the all over the place, bring her issues to the classroom, disoriented instructor anyway.
So have anyone taken Chemistry 1320 on any campus that know of a good instructor I dont care if the instructor is adjunct I just need a good instructor so I can pass the class. I do not know what to do know...I feel like ive been jinxed:down::no::crying2:

I took organic & biochem at HFCC and the professor was very good. I think he is the only one who teaches that class (chem 132). I took him in winter 2007 and would recommend him. (He was tough, the tests were hard... but you can get an "A"). He gets very good reviews in Rate My Professor.

I took Intro Organic Chem (Chem 1060) at Macomb Community College. It was a hybrid course, which means that the instruction was online with labs from 9 am to noon on Saturdays. The lectures were online, which means that if you missed something he said, you could just rewind and listen again. I loved that part. The instructor (Champagne) was very helpful in the lab, never condescending, always encouraging, and very prompt with e-mails. Exams were given during the lab.
