Options after failing out of a nursing program. Really need help

A very close friend of mine recently failed out of a BSN nursing program. She failed by 1-2 points . A part of the reason she failed out was due to catching an infection and being very sick a week or so prior to finals. The school did not have sympathy for her situation.

This girl has wanted to be an RN since she was a child. She performs well at clinicals and has even successfully completed nursing externships. She's now distraught and feels like her dreams of being a nurse are over with. She's super motivated to try again. But she hasnt found a school that will take her, being that her transcript shows that she failed out of a nursing program.

She currently has a Bachelors in a generic health degree. I'm trying to help her find a nursing program that will accept her despite the previous failure. (LPN program is a no go since so many hospitals are phasing out that practice altogether)

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm a R.N. myself i can feel the overwhelming passion this young lady has to practice nursing, i really wanna aid her in achieving her goal .Thanks in advance

I know that in our program that if you are dropped for medical reasons you can reapply. This happened to a great student who had to have surgery halfway through the semester. Is that an option? Can she talk to an admission person in another program and explain her situation?
