Hello!
I am starting Husson University online for my FNP on May 11th. I have done research for months on different programs, and Husson doesn't have too many reviews; however, the ones they do have are excellent. Tuition is very affordable ($600 some a credit). They are located in Maine, and there are 2 on campus requirements. You have to attend twice for hands on "immersion" experience. Their program looks really good and I am excited to start. They do not find your clinicals for you, but they have a clinical coordinator that can assist you if need be. I will have a year before I begin clinicals so I figure that gives me enough time to look. Anyone have any thoughts on this school?
Thank you!

I believe the cost of the FNP program is $29,00. You would be required to complete 600 clinical hours. Start looking as soon as you can this way it would be so much cheaper. I study 2 to 3 days a week plus each day I complete 1- 2 assignments. I also work 3 nights a week, so it is hard but I am making it work.
I review at least 4,000 practice questions (from the test bank), none of them on the exam but it helps me to understand the materials and I do okay on y exam. I score on my exam 80 to 90. In each class, you would be given an exam study guide just study it and you would be just fine.
Be aware that the family care I and II test study guide is only 80 % accurate, so spend extra time to prep for this exam.
It is important to mention that all-important communication is done at the last minute. For example, we were notified 3 days before the due date that we need to purchase badges and they gave us 2 weeks to change Summer vacation time. During clinical orientation, you would have 24 to 48 hours to complete required assignments, and each new module opens each day, so I was forced to complete an assignment after working 12 hours shift. It was a crazy clinical orientation.
