Ontario Second-Entry Nursing (2017)

Hey everyone :)

So fall just flew in so I thought what a great time it would be to start my nursing applications lol. It is very early, but I enjoy having this on my mind. I am in my final year at University and am hoping to be a nursing student come next September. I wanted to make a space where we could come together with a common goal: getting accepted. The schools I plan to apply are:

Trent, Toronto, Humber, Western and Queens

Possibly considering RPN programs as well.

Hey everyone, I was accepted to Mac back in April and accepted my offer, paid the deposit all by the deadline. However, I never received anything in the mail from them, only the letter through Mosaic. Just wondering if anyone else received an acceptance/welcome package in the mail from them.

I just got an acceptance to Mac but I won't be accepting... I'm still hoping to get into U of T but if not, then I'm York bound!

Hi, would you mind sharing why you would choose York over Mac?

Also, I saw it on the York program site that RN is not required. Would you be able to explain what that means?

Hello All,

Congratulations to those who have received offers of admission, and best of luck to those still waiting. For those who have received offers of admission to Mac, I wanted to ask if you have received further information as to our immunization requirements, assuming you have accepted your offer of admission. The offer I had received stated that I would receive more information on the requirements once I accepted, but I have yet to receive anything. Thanks for your time and for those attending Mac in the fall, I will see you then.

I live in Toronto so would prefer not to move! RN is not required because you will be completing your BSc in Nursing (and becoming an RN).

I also accepted my offer in early May and have put in my deposit. I have not received anything in the mail. My offer however, was conditional so I'm unsure if that would result in not receiving a package until all my conditions have been met. Hope that helps and see you in September!

Just checked the status of my application through Mosaic ( McMasters ) and I got rejected ... Could it be possible if im in the process of finishing a prerequisite ? and also my winter marks are not official yet so I have not sent them

As it turns out, I checked out McMaster just now before I was going to post and they rejected me too. No news from York yet. Also to answer Jamila08's question, I'm waiting on marks too, but only York and UofT require them.

Anyways, I will be denying my acceptance from Trent.

Congrats on your acceptance to UOFT! What was your average in your last 10 courses if you don't mind me asking. And when you got your acceptance, did they notify you via email or joined?

I haven't received any further info, I think that we get more info about a lot of stuff in June, things like setting up our email etc. so I imagine as they have the list of people attending confirmed they will send more info. Sorry for no concrete answers but hopefully that helps! See you in the fall :)
