Ontario Second-Entry Nursing (2017)

Hey everyone :)

So fall just flew in so I thought what a great time it would be to start my nursing applications lol. It is very early, but I enjoy having this on my mind. I am in my final year at University and am hoping to be a nursing student come next September. I wanted to make a space where we could come together with a common goal: getting accepted. The schools I plan to apply are:

Trent, Toronto, Humber, Western and Queens

Possibly considering RPN programs as well.

I have been accepted to Trent and UofT, however I am waiting to hear back from York. Has anyone gotten an acceptance yet?

Hello everyone !

I haven't gotten accepted to Western, but I haven't gotten a denial either. It says that further grades are required. I just got my physiology mark and sent it a week or so ago. So I'm guessing that's the mark that they're waiting to see? Or does that mean that I'm not accepted! I'm not sure if anyone else is in the same position as me? If anyone could shed some light on this that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much and good luck to all! :)

I called York today. They haven't sent any acceptances out yet. They said they will by the end of the week.

I got accepted to Western today! Still waiting to hear from Mac, as that is my first choice. Hopefully Mac starts their acceptances soon? Does anyone know when Mac will start sending out their acceptances?

Mind sharing your grades?

I think my last two years was about a 79, but most of my grades in 3rd and 4th year were 80s and 90s - I just had one really low mark in 2nd year that was used in that average.

For Western, my student center updated to say that further grades are required, which wouldn't worry me other than the fact that I did not take any courses this semester so I will have to follow up with them.

For those that have been accepted to Western, first of all congrats! and second, what was your avg in the past two years?

@2017hopeful - Thank you! My average for the last 2 years of undergrad was 86.9%.
