Ontario Second-Entry Nursing (2017)

Published

Hey everyone :)

So fall just flew in so I thought what a great time it would be to start my nursing applications lol. It is very early, but I enjoy having this on my mind. I am in my final year at University and am hoping to be a nursing student come next September. I wanted to make a space where we could come together with a common goal: getting accepted. The schools I plan to apply are:

Trent, Toronto, Humber, Western and Queens

Possibly considering RPN programs as well.

Hi pvincent,

do you mind telling us what your average was? Im just wondering where I stand.

Thank you!

Hi hab81,

The school I went to uses a 10pt scale, and I had a 8.30 over my 4 undergraduate degree.

With the way the school presents my transcript, I can't really calculate exactly what my average was over my last 10 full courses since they use letters, but a rough estimate is around 85%.

Hey pvincent! Out of curiosity, when did you write your Casper test? Thanks and congrats on the acceptance!!:)

Hey tesla20,

I wrote my CASPer test February 16th.

@future.R.N. - Unfortunately I'm not able to send you a private message back regarding BIOL 235 (I don't have enough posts yet), but I write my final in the first week of April, and cannot WAIT to be done. I don't know about you, but I find it so frustrating how the study guides contain so much information and then the exams only cover about 0.3% of what you learned for each chapter. And it's pretty much impossible to guess what the 0.3% will be haha. But just stick to learning the major topics, don't get too swamped with details, and you'll do great!

Thanks for the advice @hopefulgal :) I tried not to focus on the little details, and it definitely helped me scrape an A on midterm 2! I'm so happy to be on the home stretch!

So I think Nipissing is sending out interviews. Just received mine! :)

Congrats yashi10! I did too! :D

I received an interview as well!

I just received my interview info as well! Anyone know what kind of questions they ask?

I received my interview invitation at 8 this morning! :)

Any tips from people who have attended an interview for Nipissing SPP would be great!

Has anyone heard from UofT yet?

On their website it says: Admission decisions are issued in different stages from late March until the end of June. All applicants will hear from us via email no later than June 30.

I've looked at older threads and it looks like they usually start sending acceptances at the beginning of April. My official transcripts haven't even been marked as received yet on Status :(
