Ontario Second-Entry Nursing (2015)

I know it's early, but let's get a thread going. 2015-hopefuls, share your thoughts, concerns, questions, and experiences here!

Yes I'm an external applicant! My marks are all in but my university said the official transcripts won't be sent until mid-end of May. ughhh I am anxious for this waiting game to end!

Specializes in Psychiatry, Cardiology, Gerontology, Occ. Health.

I've been following this thread for awhile. I'm pretty worried. I applied to Queen's, both the advanced standing and the regular 4-year program as my second choice and I've still not heard a word. Is it normal to still have "decision pending" this late? I'm feeling pretty discouraged! I've had to apply as an international student, since my permanent residence application is still being processed (I'm from the US). Do you think this may be a factor?

Are there some people still waiting for UofT?

Yes. I am waiting. I thought id get contacted by now.. but I haven't :(

Those who have recently been accepted to U of T can you please post your GPA/ supplemental info?? just to give us an idea..

hi everyone, I'm a uoft student so i don't need to request a transcript for bloomberg. they said they can view my grades on rosi but so far, my application status still says "to be reviewed". are there others with this status still?

I'm starting to freak out! I haven't heard anything from anywhere. I applied to western, Trent and Toronto. Western told me they wanted more grades but they appear to be out of my league since my finals did not go as well as expected. I'm around a 76.5 average now :( I have amazing ecs though... Any support from anyone? I got my high school transcript into Trent late. I just finished my degree

Hey guys! I got into U of T in April with a 3.7 in my final year! I also have worked/volunteered at 3 hospitals during high school and university. From reading the forums from last year there were quite a few people who got into u of t in May/June so don't lose hope!

Hey guys! I applied to and got accepted to Queen's AST, Western 2-year, and UoT and will be attending UoT in the fall! My average is 88 for the last 10 courses (i just graduated from Waterloo with a BSc in Biomed). I have volunteered at a hospital for 2 summers and have worked part time while in school. For those of also going to UoT I look forward to seeing you in the fall, and to those still waiting don't lose hope, they give out acceptances until the end of June and you still have a chance even if you're waitlisted.

I just logged onto OUAC and found out I got offers from UofT and Queen's last week! I had an offer from Trent in February. I am picking UofT since I don't want to move. For those curious I have a 3.92 GPA in my last year 3.7 in my last two years and 3.4 cGPA. Graduating this year from UofT. I don't have any hospital volunteering but I got my fourth year project supervisor to write me reference and my department head (who I know) to write the other reference letter. My extracurricular were lab, student union executive, and choir. Best of luck to everyone else still waiting!

Still waiting on york....

@nc92 same here, waiting for uoft, western and queen's as well. i've only received an interview invitation from nipissing so far. the rest of my accounts still says no decision yet or haven't been reviewed yet. i hope i still have a chance :(
