Hey everyone!
I haven't seen a post for Fall 2021 yet so here it is!
My choices are:
1. UofT
2. McMaster
3. Nipissing SPP
I started my OUAC application in November and now trying to work on the supplemental packages. My CASPer Test is on January 12, 2021.
I need to take Anatomy and Physio course(s) however, I'm having a hard time figuring out what would satisfy the requirements from all three universities. My options so far are:
1. Take CBLG 101 in Winter and CBLG 111 in Spring at Ryerson. However final grade will be in June; hoping that's fine. This satisfies all 3 unis
2. Take SCS 2159 in Winter from UofT which is enough for UofT and McMaster but not for Nipissing. I have to take an Anatomy course just for Nip.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from back home, been working as an RECE in Toronto the last 8 years, have a Diploma in Nonprofit Management at Ryerson. My cGPA is 3.55 which I'm worried about. Lots of extra curricular activities from university and volunteering here in Toronto. I still have to compute the GPA for the last two years.
I requested WES to send my transcripts to Nip and McMaster and asked my old uni to send to UofT.
It's been an expensive application so far; really hoping I get in! Looking forward to chatting with you all and sharing our experiences.

I received an offer from Western but it expires on May 1st. I want to go to McMaster but I’m worried they may not make a decision by then.
thats fine, just accept the Western offer and if you get into Mac then withdraw from Western and accept Mac.
You'll lose the deposit $$ tho ?
QuoteDo you happen to know when your portal was updated? Trying to figure out if they will release acceptances only once a day on fridays so I can save myself from refreshing and actually study stats so I can at least pass that pre-req LOL.
I'm not exactly sure, but it was before 2pm at least! And thanks!
Someone please help my train of thought, cause like many of you, I am feeling disheartened not hearing back from UofT today. So let’s say they have 150 spots they want to fill this year. Does that mean they send out 150 offers today and if 30 don’t accept by next week they send out 30 next Friday? Or do they do more of a 50 this week, 50 next week, 50 the week after, type of thing?
thank you all ?♥️

I think I heard someone today saying they heard of someone getting in to Mac today? But I haven’t seen anything else in regards to McMaster!

OMG I was just thinking about this! I was trying to do the math in my head and if they do ~22 acceptances every Friday from April until the end of May (8 Fridays in total), then they've sent out ~175 offers which is usually their target class size. I can't remember but I think in June they begin waitlisting people? So if they do cohorts of 22 each week it adds up to their class size by the end of May/beginning of June, and then they start waitlisting. But I'm also completely guessing LOL the numbers just added up so well. If anybody knows the real way they send out acceptances, please correct me ?
congrats for those who heard from uoft today. I am a first-year student at uoft currently, and wanted to share a word.
not having offers while others are receiving can be VERY stressful. Trust me, I was there. but patience is your best buddy, and try to distract yourself so you can stay away from this forum ? its so easy to compare yourself to others, but remember, the offer is made based on what you submitted and what uoft sees, not based on what you see on this forum. this forum is just a place for discussion.
uoft sends out like 20-30 (def not 170+ at a time) ish offers every Friday. the offers are good for several weeks, and whatever that didn't get filled will be included for subsequent offers I.e. rolling admission until the end of June. sometimes they send out a bunch during certain weeks of May. your time will come ?
the timing of the offer also can be tricky depending on if you have your prereq done or not. those who are in their final years will likely hear from mid may to mid June. so even if you don't get it in Aprill, don't worry.
(sorry if this does not make sense LOL its our busiest week RN).
