Ontario Second Entry Nursing Fall 2021

Published

Hey everyone!

I haven't seen a post for Fall 2021 yet so here it is!

My choices are:

1. UofT

2. McMaster

3. Nipissing SPP

I started my OUAC application in November and now trying to work on the supplemental packages. My CASPer Test is on January 12, 2021.

I need to take Anatomy and Physio course(s) however, I'm having a hard time figuring out what would satisfy the requirements from all three universities. My options so far are:

1. Take CBLG 101 in Winter and CBLG 111 in Spring at Ryerson. However final grade will be in June; hoping that's fine.  This satisfies all 3 unis

2. Take SCS 2159 in Winter from UofT which is enough for UofT and McMaster but not for Nipissing. I have to take an Anatomy course just for Nip.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from back home, been working as an RECE in Toronto the last 8 years, have a Diploma in Nonprofit Management at Ryerson. My cGPA is 3.55 which I'm worried about. Lots of extra curricular activities from university and volunteering here in Toronto.  I still have to compute the GPA for the last two years.

I requested WES to send my transcripts to Nip and McMaster and asked my old uni to send to UofT.

It's been an expensive application so far; really hoping I get in! Looking forward to chatting with you all and sharing our experiences.

Is there anyone that accepted Humber offer but not planning to go. Perhaps got another offer and no more going through with humber’s.

Anyone heard from McMaster?

Hey guys! I just got the call about my offer into Western CTF and I will be accepting it!

I just wanted to say I really appreciated hearing your guys' updates; they were super encouraging.

My average in the last 10.0 credits was 83.0% (84.0% with this Summer course I just took, but I'm not sure if my final grade from that course has been taken into account yet).

I also called to ask about my CASPER. Michelle Wagler told me that Western was only using CASPER as a cutoff (I.e. if you had an adequate CASPER score, they then looked at your average over the last 10.0 credits.)

I will be declining my offer from Trent, so hopefully that helps one of you! My main deciding factor for UWO is that London is my hometown (and I just finished my undergrad here).

Let me know if you guys have anymore questions, and good luck to everybody still waiting for an offer!

The waiting game is killing me. Every day I check my applications and my email in hopes of some of kind of update and June 30th is getting closer and closer. It sucks not knowing where you stand.

Hey,

I'm in the same.boat. I used to check all the time and now I try to check like once a day or I check  on here to for updates (if someone got in/rejected today then I'll check my application). I've emailed as well but it seems like June 30th is when I'll hear back. Hope we both hear some good news.

I emailed the student services worker yesterday and she emailed today saying that she reached out to the admissions committee and is waiting for their reply to her email, but would let me know as soon as they responded back!

Was this for U of T? I feel so nervous when I log in to check.... and every time "Application Received" I feel at this point it's a waitlist type of situation. I hope to hear back before June 30, but gotta be patient I guess!

No sorry this is Mac!

Is UofT's response by June 30 either accepted or denied? Or is there a chance they could reply on June 30 with "waitlisted?"
