I'm applying to the second entry nursing program in February 2018 for Fall 2018 admission. I'm applying to York, Humber, Trent, Nipissing and potentially Western. I'll be applying with a BA in psych. This is probably super premature, but I wanted some reassurance from fellow applicants. I also wanted to know if anyone, past or previous applicants, know the weighting of Additional Information forms and how they're considered during the application process? I was diagnosed with ADHD during my second year of university, after being misdiagnosed two previous times, and it's certainly had an impact on my grades. My GPA is going to be something like 6.7 on a 9.0 scale. And this really has me worried. Has anyone else had any experiences with Add. Forms?
Good luck to all!
@Stari3 Thank you. I'm not sure how they calculated the GPA but I had A's in most of my pre-requisites.
For extracurriculars, I've done a couple of volunteering and I have a very diverse work experience history. I have a master's degree already which is in environmental science.
I also believe I had a strong essay.
Hey Laura! I just got an email back from U of T and they said they will release more information about the waitlist after July 5. So I'm assuming they're just waiting to get all the confirmation from the people they offered waitlist and then they'll know where we lie in terms of ranking :) hope this helps!
Western friendsI got an email from them, currently the waitlist is at 82.7% and more offers will be sent out later moving backwards in marks, GOOD LUCK
How does one convert GPA to a percentage? Around what GPA is an 82.7? I'm from a school that uses letter grades not percentages... just trying to see where I'm at with western waiting list.
Hi friends,
When you're waitlisted for admission... does this mean that you DID fufill all requirements for acceptance but just that other people had stronger applications? Or is it possible that you could be waitlisted but then they could be like just kidding you dont meet requirements. I mean I assume you would just get rejected if your application doesn't fulfill all of the admission requirements so this is probably a stupid question but I have mad anxiety over all of this so I figured I'd ask hahahah

Waitlisted means you met the standard for admission but there's just people more qualified ahead of you, if you didn't meet them they would just reject/not add you to the waitlist :)
