Ontario Second Entry Nursing Fall 2018

Published

I'm applying to the second entry nursing program in February 2018 for Fall 2018 admission. I'm applying to York, Humber, Trent, Nipissing and potentially Western. I'll be applying with a BA in psych. This is probably super premature, but I wanted some reassurance from fellow applicants. I also wanted to know if anyone, past or previous applicants, know the weighting of Additional Information forms and how they're considered during the application process? I was diagnosed with ADHD during my second year of university, after being misdiagnosed two previous times, and it's certainly had an impact on my grades. My GPA is going to be something like 6.7 on a 9.0 scale. And this really has me worried. Has anyone else had any experiences with Add. Forms?

Good luck to all!

i just calculated and it's roughly 89. Everything online mostly says the majority of acceptances are sent later so I wish you luck!

Only two people in this forum got offers from U ofT? í ½í¸¶ do they send offer one by one or send a bunch of offer at the same time?

Congrats to those who have already received offers! Anyone willing to give a quick rundown of their volunteer experience, grades, etc.?

Hoping it's literally one by one ... if they're doing it in huge batches I've already lost hope lol.

Did anyone get any U of T offers today ?

Just got into UOFT today by email !

Just got into UOFT today by email !

That's awesome!! Congrats :) Do you mind telling us your gpa for the last 5 credits/extracurriculars/degree ? :)

yeah! last 2 years 4.0 GPA and cGPA is 3.9. Got into queens, york and mac but will choose UoFT. Did research, volunteered in the hospital for 2 years, peer support for immigrants, and executive member for a couple of school clubs. Just finished undergrad :) Its too early so do not give up yet.

Hey guys, does anyone have information on how york's program is structured?

Has anyone heard from Trent yet??

My sister applied to the Trent compressed nursing program last year with a high average and didn't hear back until the end of April. I applied this year with a 3.2 GPA and it still says they're evaluating my application.

I know it's too early to be freaking out and stuff but I can't help but start freaking out regardless.

I applied to Western, Queens and UofT with a 3.95 in my last 2 years and only got Western so far.

I don't mind if I don't hear back from Queens but UofT is my top choice!

This post is largely irrelevant but I just felt the compulsion to release some nervous energy
