Anyone applying to NP school in Ontario for the year 2025?

Would love to have a discussion started for acceptances, etc.

This may be a silly question, but what is the difference between clinical placement and residency?

So for UofT, what I gathered is that residency is mandatory and happens for one full week in September and April/May. During this week, there are lectures and skills related to our scope of practice as NPs. Whereas, clinicals start in second semester (so Jan 2026), where we are placed in various sites (eg, hospital, community clinic, LTC) etc. for a certain amount of hours per week. These hours are required to graduate. Hope this makes sense!

Thank you so much! That makes complete sense 🙂

Any updates from any of the schools?

Nothing on my end

Nothing just waiting for TMU. Applied way back in early December and they're the last to reply LOL.

Did anyone apply to Queens and if so have you heard back yet? Applied to both MSN and MN-PHCNP.

I've applied to Queens for the MN-PHCNP. Not heard anything back either

Those who have applied to York, does your application status say decision pending or no decision yet?

It says decision pending for me, what about you?

Mine says no decision yet. Apparently if it says decision pending you will get a decision soon. In my case, I don't think they have even looked at my application.
