Wow I think I applied at the end of January so it probably just took them a while 👀.

I wasn't getting my hopes up, I think maybe they are starting to review my file.

Yeah most likely. I applied in November so I got that email mid December.

I applied early Jan and only received a link to activate and a pin #. Interesting

I just got that email too. I applied end of Jan as well. This is what the email said:

Thank you for applying to the School of Graduate Studies, University of Toronto. 

NOTE: This e-mail message is not an offer of admission.   

All applicants to the University of Toronto are assigned a student number at the time of application. Please take note of the student number for your records.

You will also receive information on your JOINid in a separate e-mail. You can use your JOINid to submit an early application for on-campus residence.
